Our urgent needs right now are for adult road bikes, bike locks, and bike lights.
i'm back from my email hiatus to let you know that we will be working this sunday.
let's go visit the recyclery some sunday. talk about it this sunday? we should go soon cause they don't open if it's less than 50 or 55°F. we have that really handy tool to give them but if someone wants to bake a pie that would be good too. here's the video that marque made of the unununlucky alleycat the triangle greens are going to honor some local organizations (including us!) with a dinner. read about that and free HIV testing below: |
We felt that part of the task of building a strong Triangle grassroots community is to take the time to honor and acknowledge our sisters and brothers working for justice, sustainability, democracy, and peace.
We are especially pleased to announce that because of outstanding work this year for building sustainable communities, creating spaces for grassroots groups to work and meet, challenging consumerism and consumption and offering real alternatives, the Triangle Greens would like to award and honor ACRe, 1304 Bikes, and Raleigh Food Not Bombs as one of the first recipients of the Triangle Greens Sustainability and Community Award!
ACRe, 1304 Bikes, FNB and four other organizations will be honored at a dinner on Saturday, December 16th from 6pm-8pm at the MAPAC office (Muslim American Public Affairs Council) at 5104-C Western Blvd., Raleigh, NC. We would be honored if you would join us! Please RSVP to greentararaider@yahoo.com.
If you have any questions, please contact Elena Everett at (919) 413-1276.
Please join us for food, video by Independent Voices, and community!
Solidarity and congratulations!
