Our urgent needs right now are for adult road bikes, bike locks, and bike lights.
Lots of bike related stuff happening this weekend.

First, the Kirby Derby is this Saturday, June 17th. This is new to me and when asked for information I was told it is a "hippie bike parade". Judging from the website that's not exactly accurate but maybe close enough and still looks fun. Check it out at http://www.kirbyderby.com/.

Adrian and friends are leading a ride this Sunday, June 18th. Here's the info for that:

Date: Sun June 18 AND Sunday July 2
Time: 8:00am
Pace: C
Mileage: about 40 mi
Start: Big Ed's at City Market, downtown Raleigh
Description: The return of "We ride for Coffee!".
Come early if you want Big Ed's breakfast.
We'll do a leisurely brunch at the Mill in Clayton and
head back to City Market.

Finally we are planning on working this Sunday, June 18th and could use a lot of help because Ruell, coordinator of Big Brother Big Sister, contacted us this week and was hoping we could come to their picnic next Sunday, the 25th, with bikes to give to the kids. I told him that might not be enough notice especially with stock being so low right now but that we would see how many we could get ready in one day. If we can't get enough bikes ready to go to the picnic we will schedule another give-away day and push for that, but the gauntlet has been thrown. See you there.
