OUR WORKSHOP HAS BEEN FORCED TO SHUT DOWN DUE TO CITY ZONING ISSUES. WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING FUNDS AND A SPACE TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING THESE PROGRAMS.

At the moment, we do not have the means to accept any donations of bicycles.
Bicycles may be alternatively donated to either the Durham Bike Co-op or the ReCYCLEry in Carrboro.

The 1304Bikes weblog contains more details.

Join 1304 Bikes on our ride toward a cleaner and healthier city.

Through our programs, we have made hundreds of donated bicycles road-ready again for the community, focusing on the bicycle as a human-powered transportation mode for children and working folks. By volunteering, many people have earned refurbished, discarded or damaged bicycles in our shop, or used our tools and expertise in learning how to fix and maintain their own bikes.

Where:The back/basement (see the 1304bikes sign in the window) of the brick duplex at the corner of Mayview Rd. andChamberlain St. in Raleigh, near Jaycee Park and the Cameron Village Shopping center.  ⇐ We are temporarily homeless; keep watch on our blog for updates...

When: Our operations are currently restricted to mobile workshops only, until we find a new home. See our Calendar or News pages for the latest schedules. And subscribe to our mailing list to be notified of special events.

Get involved if you want to fix a bike for yourself or volunteer to help others get a bike or help us get organized. We gladly accept bikes, bike parts or tools. Donations are tax-deductible. If you'd like to lend a hand turning wrenches, please familiarize yourself with our Earn-A-Bike program and simple shop guidelines and come on by to match up kids and bikes or otherwise help out. See our News page for specifics.
